Rice Bowl Project

While Donna is away in Bong County for 2 days I thought I would post here about our Rice Bowl Project. This project is set up to relieve some of the hunger needs that we see when we are in Liberia. It has been working very well and the families in Liberia have been blessed by our generous donors here in the US. I would really encourage you to check this out and see if it is something you might be interested in as well.

This is typically what a family would receive from a sponsor here. We have 2 different types that we usually deal with.

This is one of our families who just received rice this week.

And this is mom sitting outside her house. I love this picture!

The goal of this program is not only to give food to a needy family. Families have also enjoyed the relational side as well. We encourage you to send letters, exchange pictures and become a friend to someone on the other side of the ocean. Through you they can learn of the love of our Savior.

I also want to mention that we have an AWESOME friend who works with us to accomplish this contact. I cannot be more thankful for the person who we have helping us with the rice project. He is a christian father to 1 biological son (soon to be one more baby in the house) and also a kindof adoptive father of 2 other children he has taken into his home to raise as his own. He truly does an outstanding job!

This is Stephen and his family.

If you would like additional information on how to become involved with the Rice Bowl, please contact me at jlrdmn@gmail.com. I am always available to answer any and all of your questions!
