Another child for our medical outreach program. This little girl's name is Hope. She will need a prosethis for her one leg. Her other foot is abnormal but she is able to use it well. Brown who is here currently in the states for the same thing had both feet amputated and is currently waiting for his prosethis.
This is for Denise! Here is Melvin the little boy she sponsors in the Forget Me Not Children's Homes. We had to post a picture for her. :0)
Here is Peter and I in front of a building he hopes to use as a guest house for those of us traveling back and forth to Liberia. I admit I was not for the idea at first as I didnt catch on to his vision but after seeing more for myself, I can see how this building could serve for dual purposes and pay for itself. More on that later..
Winifred was a baby girl we brought to the states in October on a medical visa. She had hydrocephalus. She passed away 4 days after being here. Everyone agreed that we had to do all we could to save her life. But God knew best. Here I am with Alfred, Wini's father and also Wini's brother. The host family had sent hand and foot impression of Winis before she passed away. And Alfred was appreciative of the mementos the host family had sent for them.
One of the highlights of my day yesterday, was meeting a guy that was highly recommended, I meet. His name is Kimmie Weeks and he is renowned for his work with the youth in Liberia. (Youth Action International) What a great guy. Loved hearing about the plans for Liberia especially when it comes to the youth of this country. We plan on meeting in a few weeks in the states and networking more with our organizations in Liberia should all work out.
