Beach Day (Sunday) and workshop with caregivers and kids

Today was a day of fun for the kids and caregivers. We met at the beach for fun, food, and a workshop. It was wonderful to see the kids in a different environment and visit with the caregivers. The day started in Prayer by Pst Peter.

The food was prepared by Martha who has her own food service and the food (I am told as I was sick) was scrumptious!

Who was the life of the party? It was surprise-surprise... Korpu! She was a ham!!!

Peek a boo!

What an Angel!

Korpu would take her dress and put it over her head and and then giggle. Everyone just laughed and laughed... It is obvious how a family for her is helping her to blossom.

Surprise is a growing boy who is much loved by his foster mom. Kou is our best caregiver in the program and we just love her.

Surprise was the best dressed little girl at the gathering. She looked so sweet.

Kenneth was loved up by everyone. Doesnt he have just the sweetest face?

Patience is beautiful in her new dress made by Little Dresses for Africa in the U.S.

What you thinking about Patience?

Melvin who is deaf has already gained weight and is trying to walk. Denise spent all her time with him.. do you think she has a favorite? :0)

You tell him girls!

Isnt there a saying.. monkey see monkey do? Or is that hear no evil, see no evil, say no evil. Either way they sure know how to pose for the cameras.

Denise..are you ready to put him down yet?-nope.

Little Karin is a child we are working with while she waits to come into our program. She is getting ready for the beach outing by her caregiver.

Ok- Karin is Tanya's favorite. She did not put her down..I dont think. Ha. Seriously Karin is a wonderful little girl. It is not hard to fall in love with any of these children. It is a privilege to be a part of their lives.

Christina spending sometime going over some care issues with the foster moms and dads. Everyone did a great job of sharing with each other.

Korpu enjoying herself with Josephus (FMN social worker). It is great to see how much he loves and cares about these children too.

Some of the children did not make it to the beach day but those who did had a wonderful time.

Little girls in pretty little dresses made by Little Dresses for Africa-Changing lives one dress at a time.

How Sweet.

Karin is not in agreement with Favour being in her lap. She had no problem voicing her concerns.

Doesnt it look like they are having a serious girl conversation? :0)

The children loved Denise. Now where is the lady with the suckers too? Tanya??

Pst Peter and Josephus having a bit of time to themselves to chat. Awesome men!

I cant begin to tell you enough about how this Pst loves the children of Liberia. I believe he would give the shirt of his back for them.

Awww.. the beach. It was a beautiful day with the sun and wind. So hard to end the day.

As you can see from Julie's post, our trip length was changed. We are now told we will be leaving on Wednesday. Our African friend said it was God's wish that we that we stay. :0)
I wonder if those stuck at airports feel the same...

The internet has not been as reliable on this trip so its been harder to post than usual. So much has happened while here and so much to share. Know that there will be much more to come. I hope I can convey in some way not just what we saw but what we felt and experienced. We take all of you with us and appreciate your prayers.
