Adoptions-Finally are happening for special needs kids in Liberia

Congratulations to Faith and Mike and their 2 beautiful boys that came home from Liberia last week! Gborlee and Mohammed were children from our FMN homes.

Little Hope from our FMN Homes has found her forever family and is going to be adopted.

Siblings Barvor and Korpu's adoptions are moving along. Barvor was in the states on a medical visa for his eyes and has since returned to Liberia. Korpu is a child from our FMN homes. Together they will be united with an adoptive family in the states as soon as their adoption is completed.

Congratulations to the Bradbee family who will be traveling home soon with Nyenelleh! He was in the states twice on a medical visa for shunts. He returned to Liberia for the completion of his adoption.

Forever Remembering Favour

Our precious Favour passed away last week from cerebral malaria. Favour was our first child into our FMN care. She was just 12lbs at 18 months old. She was abandoned at a feeding center. She thrived in her new foster home that gave her love, support, food, and a home of her own. She was accepted by a foster mom who saw her unique giftedness of how God made her and loved her for who she was. She was not with us long but contributed to this world in BIG ways. Favour was turned away by many a Christian church because they thought she had evil spirits within her due to her handicap. Thus she was not welcomed. Nor was her foster mom. We would not hide Favour away from the community or Liberian people. We would show them that she was as much loved and a child of God as any of us. WE needed to be her voice as she could not speak.

Favour loved jewelery- toys, and her foster siblings. She would smile so much. And fight to eat. She had cerebral palsy but didnt know it. She lived as she was.

Favour reminds us that the special ones in God's kingdom are the weak ones.
They are the ones who cannot fight for themselves, cant speak for themselves, cant feed or care for themselves, cant protect themselves.

Many times there are no one to give them a voice. No one to fight for their cause.

Lets let the world know that children like Favour matter. Lets not let her life go unnoticed.

Jesus is the solution. He changes us so we help children like Favour. He helps us feel what he feels so that we do something. Imagine if every person who called themselves a Christian did what Jesus taught and helped just ONE orphan child. That would be the Living Gospel indeed. You can help more children like Favour. We have more special needs children needing foster homes and we lack the funding to take them in. Please contact us today and help. You are THEIR answer that God has sent. They wait for you.

continued prayers are desperately needed for FAVOUR

(assessment by friends in Liberia who visit her)

I am not sure how Favour will come out of this. She is on some very strong meds, and may be affecting alot of her unconscious state. We won't be able to assess her condition until the meds are discontinued. She may need a blood transfusion because her iron and her weak state. She just started responding to pain yesterday, but now has pneumonia. She has lost a lot of weight, and has not woken up for anything. They have only diagnosed her with 2+ Malaria, because I don't think they diagnose Cerebral Malaria very much. I diagnosed her with it, due to her seizure and unconscious state after. They have been feeding her thru NG tube. We are praying for her healing. I'm being optimistic, and hoping the the meds are keeping her in this depressed state. She needs a miracle.

Dear Friends of GOO/FMN:

Dear Friends of Global Orphan Outreach;

As you may know, the orphan crisis worldwide is reaching epidemic proportions. It is estimated that the number of orphans will reach 145 million by this year (according to usaid.gov). Thankfully there are more people stepping up to obey God’s call to take care of these orphans. Unfortunately, there are still children that have a very bleak future. Abandoned children with special need are the most neglected and the most in need. These are the children that would benefit from 1st world medical care, therapies, nutrition, and needless to say, a loving attentive family.

The directors and volunteers of Global Orphan Outreach (a registered nonprofit in the U.S. and an accreditated NGO in Liberia) are diligently working towards elevating some of the orphan crisis in Liberia, Africa through our foster homes -Forget-Me-Not Children’s Homes. Through the ministry outreach efforts of GOO; foster homes are giving abandoned special children love, nutrition, support, and therapies that they need. Our mission is to advocate and support the outreach of orphan children and families in need, worldwide through shared resources and awareness.

While our work in Liberia involves several areas from school scholarships, medical outreach, community development, to project partnerships with the Liberian people, we are always actively advocating for the most vulnerable and that would be the children with handicaps, medical needs, and of special needs.

We realize that no individual, organization, group, or country can attempt to handle the vast needs of orphans worldwide by themselves. This can only be done by partnering with other ministries, organizations, and individuals like you- working together towards the same goals. We invite you to partner with us to meet these goals.

Over the next two months, Global Orphan Outreach has a budget shortage of $5,000 to meet those needs. We invite you to be a part of a Global Community by making a difference with your donation. Any amount is appreciated. Gifts can be sent to our address or click on the pay pal button on our global website- www.globalorphanoutreach.org

Please contact us as we look forward to hearing from you. Together we can have a remarkable partnership in helping the most fragile of Liberia. For further information about this program or any of our other programs in Liberia, contact us at Global Orphan Outreach-#715-415-4401 or by email at pwilder@globalorphanoutreach.org
