Liberia trip

It's been an exciting trip. There is so much to share, we've had a little email trouble.

We have spent lots of time with our sweet Forget Me Not kids and their caregivers.

On Wed. we went to Kpeletayama village. We set up a medical mini clinic for the day; 63 people were helped that day. We also gave out clothes for little boys and dresses for girls. We also had matchbox cars for boys and dolls for girls. We had some candy too. The teen boys were really excited about the soccer balls and pump. The village has a soccer team and they play against other village teams.

The well has made such a difference to the village. The cases of diarrhea, cholera, and skin problems have greatly decreased. People from neighboring villages come for water too. It's so unbelievable what a difference clean water makes.

The Faces of Liberia

We are headed to Liberia next week and looking forward to the many people and children we meet and fellowship with. I thought I would post some pictures of the children and people we met on our last trip. I love how their eyes shine. There is hope in Liberia. It isnt all poverty and despair. They love like we love. They live like we live just with less money. It has been great to work along side the Liberian people working towards a better tomorrow for their families.

This is my favorite picture of Peter. He is lifting up his son.It is obvious how much he loves not just his own children but all children in Liberia and continues to advocate for their best interests everyday.

Ok- not a face but a beautiful Liberian sunset..
